Palay is the culmination of a love for Filipino food and culture, blending time-honoured flavours with modern culinary techniques to create hearty, comforting and delicious food that feels warm and welcoming with every bite.
Behind our blue door and heritage bluestone building, just off Smith Street in the heart of Fitzroy, is Melbourne’s first Filipino house, home to three expressions of Filipino food and hospitality.
By day, Bohrat is our café, serving Filipino coffee, silogs and familiar breakfast and lunch favourites. By night, Palay takes over with a modern Filipino dining experience built around generous plates, regional flavours and food made for sharing.
Beyond the house, Barangay is our catering and events arm, bringing the same food, warmth and sense of community to celebrations across Melbourne.
Different expressions, one home, all rooted in Filipino culture, creativity and hospitality.
